For some people
finding a purpose or a meaning in life may be difficult. Some people may not
have any job or anyone to love, but just suffering. How to find meaning in life
even in suffering is the message from this book. This is must read by one and
all to understand how the prisoners suffered in the concentration camp with no
hope of liberation, yet was looking forward for it with lots of hope. This book
is written by a Neurologist and Psychiatrist doctor who underwent innumerable
hardships in the concentration camps and when liberated published this
manuscript. Divided into two parts this book explains the horrifying
experiences inside the concentration camp that the author encountered in the
first part; the second part is about Logotherapy, the therapy that the doctor
applied for his patients to find a meaning in life despite their suffering. The
second part also illustrates a few patients’ stories which offer a better
understanding of how to find a meaning.
This book cannot to
be missed by any book lovers; highly recommended in this uncertain stressful
world.
