WHO MOVED MY CHEESE By Spencer Johnson

This book was first published in 1998. While reading this book about two decades ago I was reminded of a quote “They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” (Andy Warhol). If you have been in your comfort zone for a long time this is definitely the book to read. It is a short story about a team of mice and two small human beings. This book can be read in less than an hour but it offers life time lessons. Foreseeing and preparing for the forthcoming change and adapting to it are the central theme. Animal instinct keeps life simple and do not question who and why the cheese is moved; they just keep moving looking out for their cheese. This instinct is very significant in today’s life style filled with uncertainty. “Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old.” This story was relevant yesterday, is relevant today and will be relevant even tomorrow. It is a must read for all the young people.

I strongly recommend this book for all especially for young working professionals.
