Bab says:
Truth and  Patience
are those rides which never let their rider fall.
Neither at anyone’s feet, Nor in anyone’s eyes.
Pad says:
This
is a truthful statement but in Kaliyuga these virtues are tested
constantly. These virtues are like a spinal cord of a person. If you
lose these virtues you will bend, stoop and finally collapse. Your
conviction on these virtues will be tested time and again. The riders of
these virtues will fall 'n' number of times because gossip and rumors
make every lie -- a truth. Time will be lost proving the truth and
patience will be critically tested.
A
truthful patient person will never fall in anybody's feet. To withstand
the turmoils surrounding these virtues you must control your mind and
stick to your truthful words and actions. Time will uplift you; some
times only after you reach the grave. Yet it is worth the struggle
